Bricks can be Biz name,” in memory”, etc. $100 each for 574 available small bricks; $500 each 48 available large bricks. 10% off orders until Dec 31st, 2017. Supports the SMILE fund for building maint.,events that SMILE supports, etc. Info on how to order available soon.

Treasurer’s Report Balance/Activity $ 19,100 in checking (after Venture PDX deposits check) $5,032 in PayPal account

Fall Social/Networking event Piknik Park 5:30-8pm on Tuesday September 26th. 6:15-6:30 Introductions and announcements All invited; if you cannot attend please send rep and invite your neighbor biz folks.

Opportunity for biz notices in SWBA newsletter; submit requests Venture Portland Grant Status: Due 10/6/17 ● Catalyst Grant for increased staffing start up costs $2,000 available to pay for staff support ● Benchmark Grant for improved Website $3,000 grant Focus: Redo the SWBA website, add directories and make it more user friendly ● RFP for website re-do; accepting member suggestions for website designer

  • October 29 Monster March 3pm start, Cookies and juice at Llewellyn Elementary School after Propose print off 50 2 sided Monster March posters to hang in the neighborhood biz Llewellyn can use SWBA graphics for t shirts

  • Gus Hill tendered his resignation; huge recognition and appreciation for his years’ service! Tom Brown proposed an annual Gus Hill Appreciation Award Motion that SWBA purchase a brick in his name.
